Terms of Use

1. Agreement

These Terms of Use (“Terms”) are a binding agreement between you and Synopsis Health Inc. (“Synopsis,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) governing your use of our mobile application, website, and related services (the “Services”). By using the Services, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Services.

2. Eligibility and accounts

You must be at least 13 years old and legally able to enter into this agreement. If you are under the age of majority where you live, a parent or legal guardian must consent. You are responsible for accurate account information, protecting your credentials, and activity under your account.

3. Subscriptions, billing, and cancellation

Some or all features of Synopsis may require an auto-renewable paid subscription. Available plans, pricing, billing period, trial terms, and any material purchase conditions are shown before you confirm a purchase.

Subscriptions renew automatically at the price and frequency disclosed at purchase unless canceled before the end of the current subscription period. If you purchase through Apple, payment is charged to your Apple ID account and Apple handles billing, renewal, refunds, and related payment matters under its terms. You can manage or cancel an Apple subscription through your Apple account subscription settings. Deleting the Synopsis app or your Synopsis account does not by itself cancel an Apple subscription.

If a free trial or promotional period is offered, it converts to a paid subscription unless canceled before the disclosed deadline. We may change pricing prospectively as permitted by the app store and applicable law, with any notice or consent required by those rules. Except where required by law or the applicable app store, payments are nonrefundable.

4. Health and fitness disclaimer

Synopsis provides general informational, educational, nutrition-tracking, and fitness tools. It is not a medical device or medical service and does not provide medical diagnosis, treatment, or professional healthcare advice. Nutrition estimates, calorie targets, exercise information, and other outputs may be incomplete or inaccurate.

Consult a qualified healthcare professional before changing your diet, exercise, supplements, or health routine, especially if you have a medical condition, take medication, are pregnant, have a history of disordered eating, or experience concerning symptoms. Do not disregard or delay professional advice because of information from Synopsis. If you believe you have an emergency, contact emergency services.

5. AI disclaimer

AI-generated estimates, menu rankings, coaching responses, summaries, and recommendations are probabilistic and may be wrong, outdated, or unsuitable for you. They are not medical, nutritional, legal, or other professional advice. You are responsible for reviewing outputs and using your own judgment. Do not rely on AI output for emergencies, diagnoses, medication decisions, or treatment.

6. Acceptable use

You may use the Services only lawfully and for personal or otherwise authorized purposes. You may not interfere with the Services; gain unauthorized access; scrape, reverse engineer, or copy the Services except where law permits; upload malware; impersonate others; infringe rights; harass users; post unlawful or harmful content; or use the Services to develop a competing model or service.

7. User content

You retain ownership of content you submit. You grant Synopsis a worldwide, nonexclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, process, adapt, display, and distribute that content only as needed to operate, improve, and provide the Services and as described in our Privacy Policy. You represent that you have the rights needed to submit the content. We may remove content that violates these Terms or creates risk.

8. Ownership

The Services, including software, branding, designs, text, and other materials provided by Synopsis, are owned by Synopsis or its licensors and protected by intellectual-property laws. Except for the limited right to use the Services under these Terms, no rights are transferred to you.

9. Third-party services

The Services may connect to Apple Health, HealthKit, Google Health Connect, app stores, wearables, websites, or other third-party services. Those services are governed by their own terms and policies. Synopsis is not responsible for third-party services or their availability, accuracy, or conduct.

10. Service changes and termination

We may modify, suspend, or discontinue features, and we may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms, create risk, or where required by law. You may stop using the Services at any time. Sections that by their nature should survive termination will survive.

11. Disclaimers and limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Services are provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind. Synopsis does not warrant uninterrupted operation or the accuracy of tracking, estimates, AI outputs, or third-party data. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Synopsis and its affiliates will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or loss of data, profits, goodwill, or health outcomes arising from the Services.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability for claims relating to the Services will not exceed the greater of $100 or the amount you paid Synopsis for the Services during the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain exclusions, so portions of this section may not apply to you.

12. Governing law and changes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, except where your local law requires otherwise. We may update these Terms and will post the revised version with a new effective date. Continued use after an update takes effect constitutes acceptance where permitted by law.
